Commercial Garden Design
Transforming outdoor spaces for schools, businesses, sports centres, arts hubs and other organisations.
‘We created a learning environment that is also deeply relaxing…’
A design to transform the grounds of Potters Gate C.E. Primary School in Farnham into a sensory garden was developed and created around existing mature oaks and an access path, building in elements such as a water feature, log walls and timber seats to create an attractive yet practical area for the children to enjoy.
Steel planters, a circular paved area and an entrance arch offer additional visual appeal, while sensory planting was added to stimulate all the senses, creating a learning environment that is also deeply relaxing.

For The Bourne Club in Farnham, which offers racquet sports to members, the challenge we were set was reimagining some key areas, including redesigning the outdoor area to add padel courts to take advantage of this sport’s growing popularity.
This involved exploring how existing tennis courts could be moved around as well as developing a design that included some elegant, paved areas in addition to seating and low-level planting. The final design enables members to relax and enjoy themselves between games or simply take advantage of good weather.

A project for Farnham Maltings arts complex offers a plan to transform an undeveloped paved area between the main car park and the building’s entrance into an attractive, multi-use gathering place so those visiting the theatre, shop, café or events can relax or have a bite to eat.
A glass-covered seating area with exposed sides that would run from the entrance down towards the café and River Wey features mixed height planters which break up the space and form a natural barrier to the hustle and bustle of the car park.
