Every garden design commission starts with a site visit and detailed consultation so that we can fully understand your priorities and requirements. This briefing stage covers everything from how the space will be used to how you want it to look.

This includes whether your focus is soft landscaping through planting shrubs, hedges, trees, wildflower meadows or perennials, hard landscape elements such as patios, water features and paths - or a combination of the two.

Unleashing our creativity to gradually bring this vision to life is the phase we love most.

We work up a series of initial concept designs combining expert craftmanship and ideas about planting and materials with attention to detail and refine these, in consultation with you, into a final, detailed proposal.

Once the concept design is agreed, we move into the detailed development of your masterplan. This is a collaborative stage where every element is fine-tuned until the final layout is exactly right.

From here, we prepare the technical construction drawings and written specifications that allow landscapers and contractors to accurately quote and build with confidence. Every measurement, material and feature is clearly defined, from paving and pergolas to steps and lawn.

To complete the vision, we create a fully developed planting design, showing the precise location and species of every plant, complete with sizes and a planting schedule. Together, these final stages ensure that your finished garden not only looks beautiful on paper but is ready to be built exactly as intended.
