This medium-sized suburban garden in the Hampshire village of Hartley Wintney was set on multiple levels which served to awkwardly divide up the space – frustrating for a family with older teens in search of a sophisticated space for entertaining. Our design transformed the garden, with generous planting of sun-loving perennials (salvia, phlomis, catmint etc) around the central lawn and a bespoke outdoor kitchen with covered seating and dining areas. A range of traditional materials were used, echoing the look and feel of the main house.
