Beautiful gardens
you can actually use.

We provide a comprehensive design package that delivers the outdoor space you’ve always dreamed of – and helps you ensure it stays that way. We pride ourselves on our personal service, striving to understand your requirements and vision, interpreting these into award-winning designs and working with our network of trusted third parties (surveyors, landscapers, lawn experts, architects, lighting specialists, tree surgeons etc) to bring those plans to fruition.

Jonathan takes a hands-on role with the implementation of every project he works on – whether it’s sourcing and supplying the plants, overseeing contractors, or compiling a maintenance and aftercare schedule to keep your outdoor area looking its best.

‘Thorough, professional and supportive, with great attention to detail. Our field has been transformed into a relaxing, colourful garden with multiple natural features. Great outcome!’

Our design process.

Consultation.

Once you get in touch, we set up a site visit that Jonathan attends personally. This usually takes around 2-3 hours and is the chance for you to outline your priorities, and for us to get a sense of the scale, orientation and potential of your garden or outdoor space. Perhaps your focus is soft landscaping: shrubs, hedges, perennials, wildflower meadows, trees... Perhaps it’s hard landscaping – anything from patios and pergolas to water features, decks, paths, driveways and seating areas. Or maybe you’re looking to combine the two, whilst integrating a larger feature such as a swimming pool or a new garden office. We arrange a survey (a requisite for all garden design). And this is also a good stage to discuss any planning requirements.

Conception.

Based on our site visit and data we’ve collected, we begin the design process. This is the bit we love; letting the creativity flow and seeing your vision gradually come to life. Jonathan will usually meet with a client at an early stage to present a series of concept designs. These are subsequently refined into the final, detailed proposal, or masterplan. It can sometimes be hard to visualise changes, particularly with larger or more detailed projects, so we provide 2D drawings and 3D visuals and videos – enabling you to take a stroll through a photorealistic version of your new garden or outdoor space before a single shrub is planted or border realigned. Our final proposals can either serve as a standalone document, to provide inspiration and advice on future works, or the basis for a transformation that we oversee.

Completion.

We’re fastidious about implementation. We carry out regular inspections during landscaping and construction work and keep you fully updated with progress reports. This allows us to act as your representative and an intermediary with our trusted third-party contractors to ensure the highest standards of materials and workmanship are maintained – and to check that our designs are followed to the letter. Aftercare is also part of our service: we prepare a maintenance schedule for the garden or outdoor space, detailing what’s needed at different stages of the year, and in different conditions, to keep your garden looking its best.
