Our clients on this project were a retired couple living in a townhouse-style new-build in the Surrey town, on the outskirts of London. The primary challenge was that their garden, whilst long, is fairly narrow. Our design created a private space with a curved brick path leading to an informal seating area, augmented by traditional materials and relaxed planting. Mixed borders were a harmonious blend of small trees, shrubs, silvergrass (miscanthus) and purple-blue perennials such as clematis and verbena bonariensis.
