Castle Street is one of the Surrey town’s prettiest thoroughfares and this Neo-Georgian-style house sits midway up with a good-sized rear garden. The challenge was to revitalise the existing landscaping: a secluded area to the side of the house was added, to provide shade and informal seating, with a pergola, screening and a water feature. Our design also incorporates informal paths, traditional planting including a rose arch, osmanthus multistem trees and trachelospermum – a scented woody climber.
