We were tasked with landscaping a section of the mature gardens of this century-old property in a woodland setting in leafy south Farnham. We settled on an oak pergola, with gravel paths around a new lawn, as well as a greenhouse and a vegetable area. Large borders with naturalistic planting and plenty of colour topped off the design. These contained a mix of perennials, succulents and grasses suited to dry and sunny locations, including sedum, rudbeckia and euphorbia.
